New Section to the Wizards Keep Website

10 March 2008

Figurines Logo

Wizards Keep are proud to announce the launch of a new section on the website (under the Shop area) entitled Figurines, where you can view the concept drawings and the first photos of the sculpt for the first of the figurines in the "Worlds End" range.

The concept drawings are for a bust of "Gweldar the Elder", one of the main protagonists of the "Worlds End" graphic novel. Alongside this is the initial head sculpt, whereby the sculptor is getting a feel for the character.

The sculpt is by sculptor supremeSean Green, whose work has been seen amongst the war gaming fraternity for some years now working for companies such as Games Workshop and Rackham, amongst others. Tim first met Sean back when he set up Wizards Keep, after being put in contact with him by his friend and colleague in the comic industry, Carl Critchlow, and has been planning to hire Sean to work on all his "Worlds End" Resin Figurines sculpts ever since.

Sean is pulling out all the stops to try to ensure the May deadline for launching the figurines range is met. Sean is in constant contact with Tim as they both strive to achieve the perfect figurine possible. We are sure you will agree these first photos showing the character are absolutely incredible.

Over the coming weeks before the launch of the figurines at Bristol International Comics Expo over the weekend of May 10th and 11th we will be adding more photos as we see the work in progress.

The detailing is exquisite and we can say with hand on heart these photos do not do the actual sculpt justice.

Please feel free to come back soon and check out the regular weekly updates.
